Lighting Designer of Australian Outback Spectacular

As one of Australia’s most prolific designers, John has created the lighting for an extraordinary range of projects.

Some of John’s most remarkable lighting design projects include the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Singapore’s 2002 National Day celebrations, Hong Kong’s extraordinary Symphony of Light permanent cityscape display, Singapore’s 2005/2006 New Year’s Eve display on Marina Bay, and World Expo in Brisbane in 1988.

Collectively, John has also created over 60 designs for the Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia, The English National Ballet, The Royal New Zealand Ballet and The Australian Ballet.

John’s designs for musicals include West Side Story, The Rocky Horror Show, My Fair Lady, Kiss Me Kate, Return to the Forbidden Planet, and Happy Days – The Arena Mega-Musical.
